Policy & Advocacy

Established in 2020, the Council for Federal Cannabis Regulation (CFCR) is a nonprofit organization working to mainstream cannabis by educating key stakeholder groups and federal agencies. CFCR has very quickly built a robust organization by establishing four active working committees comprised of leaders in the cannabis industry and in the fields of science, and policy and regulatory development. The organization has successfully established itself as a neutral provider and broker of science-based information to support cannabis education and development of a regulatory framework at the federal level.

The mission of CFCR is to legitimize cannabis by assisting the federal government, its regulatory agencies, and industry to rethink, develop, and implement evidence-based cannabis regulations.

Bringing together the stakeholders of the cannabis industry and the federal government to create a safe and accessible marketplace.
