I'm a media and business entrepreneur who knows how to effectively move the needle for good causes. I've dedicated my professional career to working behind the scenes to champion both public and private projects that are mission-driven and make a social impact.
I believe that leadership is making great things happen.
For more than 15 years, I've worked with executive teams in the United States, Europe, and Asia to translate high-level visions into realized corporate entities. Whether raising 8 figures, executing a press conference at Dallas Cowboy’s Stadium, writing a last minute speech in a private jet somewhere over Iowa, managing a grant proposal, or running up 5th Avenue with a film crew, I have made a career out of steadily growing new companies and helping them reach their potential.
Today, I am honored to serve as the Chief Operating Officer for the Alda Communication Training Company (ACT), helping world-renowned actor, writer, and director, Alan Alda, bring his proven improv and communication methods to the world. I'm also the Executive Producer for Alan's podcast, Clear+Vivid, which has had over 6 million downloads. Notable guests include Tom Hanks, Paul McCartney, Julie Andrews, Madeline Albright, Tina Fey, Michael J. Fox, Judge Judy, Isabella Rossellini, and many more.
Before moving back to New York City in 2013, I worked from international office locations in both London and Frankfurt, where I advised a diverse range of clients and companies. I have been a featured political commentator on Sky News and BBC Radio.
I'm a member of the Leadership and Economic Development Committees for the National Small Business Association. I also serve as an Executive Member at Ellevate Network.
For fun, I enjoy running (3 marathons and an unfathomable number of 5K's, 10K's, and Half Marathons), biking, riding, hiking, travel, reading, exploring, and volunteering for NGO's like Worldwide Orphans.
My favorite quote comes from Hesiod:
"Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat. Long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first, but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning."
And ... my philosophy about life (which I am constantly trying to strive toward) comes from Marcus Aurelius:
"If you do the work on hand following the rule of right with enthusiasm, courage, and with kindheartedness, and allow no side issues to interrupt, but preserve the divinity within you pure and upright, as if you might even now have to return it to its Giver – if you make this firm, expecting nothing and avoiding nothing, but are content with your present activity in accordance with nature and old-fashioned truthfulness in what you say and speak – you will live a happy life, and there is no one who can prevent this."
